JAMIE'S STORY

Jamie is a 27-year-old Cambridge University student from Royston. He is studying Criminology and Psychology but loves comedy and is a stand-up sit-down comedian who tours the country performing at open Mic nights and runs his own comedy night, Wise Crack Comedy, in his spare time.

Because he has cerebral palsy, he uses a wheelchair to get around however it is over 8 years old and Jamie is worried it will break down finally soon. He uses it up to 14 hours a day, including when he’s driving his specially adapted vehicle which is vital for his independence as he lives in a rural area. Without his chair, Jamie won’t be able to get to or around university, do his comedy or meet his friends.  With part support from Path to Success, Jamie is very excited about his new Powerchair (total cost of £17,545).
